She holds an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University in Maryland and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maryland. Tamar began her career in 2004, providing therapeutic services to military families of the U.S. Army in Europe.

Founded in 2013, Phoenix offers innovative clinical and wellness programming to businesses and communities in Hartford, Manchester, and beyond.

Her extensive training and certifications include Reiki Master Teacher, Holographic Sound Healer, Meditation Teacher, Breath-Work Facilitator, Certified Workplace Mindfulness Facilitator, Women's Leadership, NLP Coaching, Life Coaching, and RYT 200. Tamar is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, as well as R-Tep/G-Tep trauma protocols.
